Hello, my name is Tara Bergman.
I am an award-winning newborn photographer based in Aventura, Florida, specializing in newborn, baby and family photography for families across Miami and South Florida.
I have worked as a professional photographer since 2012 and, since 2022, have welcomed families to my fully equipped newborn photography studio in Aventura, designed for comfort, safety and a calm experience for both babies and parents. Families travel to my studio from Miami, Sunny Isles, Hallandale, Hollywood, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, North Miami and surrounding South Florida areas for newborn, baby milestone and first birthday photography.
As a mom of three, I understand how quickly these moments pass. My goal is to preserve the tiny details, emotions and beauty of this season of life through soft, timeless portraits you will treasure for years.
Since 2018, I have also taught newborn photography, leading workshops and masterclasses for photographers around the world. I have served as a judge for newborn photography awards, received international recognition and been honored among top newborn photographers worldwide.

From the moment we walked into Tara Bergman’s studio I knew we were in good hands. I called her a baby whisperer to my mom. She was able to very kindly and professionally work with my baby to get her ready for her session. The selection of clothes and props in the studio is plentiful. This experience was amazing. It was my first time using Tara and she is so very patient and really took her time with my two week old granddaughter. The best time for a newborn photo session is during the first two weeks of your baby's life. At this age, babies usually sleep deeply, remain naturally flexible, and can comfortably settle into the beautiful and delicate poses you see in my portfolio. During these first weeks, babies also tend to have less tummy discomfort, which usually makes the session easier and more comfortable for them.
I recommend booking your newborn photo session after 20 weeks of pregnancy. The earlier you book, the more flexibility you will have in choosing a date that works best for you.
When you book, we will choose a tentative date based on your due date, with the goal of scheduling the session within the first two weeks after your baby is born.
A $150 deposit is required to book your session. The deposit reserves your date and is applied toward the total cost of your selected package.
You can also contact me within the first two days after your baby is born. In this case, I will offer you the dates that are available at that time. However, availability within your baby's first two weeks cannot be guaranteed.
I photograph babies in the newborn style up to two months of age, so if your baby is already more than two weeks old, it does not mean that you have missed the opportunity for a newborn session.
After the first two weeks, babies gradually become lighter sleepers, so I recommend using wraps during the session. A soft wrap helps your baby feel secure and comfortable, relax more easily, and sleep more soundly.
When preparing for your session, I always take your baby's age into consideration and select setups and poses that are most appropriate for that stage.
Yes, you can reschedule your photo session. If you let me know at least 5 days before your scheduled session, we can choose another available date at no additional charge.
If you need to reschedule less than 5 days before your session, a $150 rescheduling fee will apply.
I schedule only one newborn session per day and plan my schedule in advance. Once your session is booked, that date is reserved exclusively for your family. With a last minute change, I usually do not have enough time to offer that date to another family.
All sessions take place in my private photography studio located in Beacon Tower in Aventura.
My studio is fully equipped and designed specifically for newborn photography. It has professional lighting equipment and a large collection of props, outfits, wraps, baskets, beds, and accessories to create a variety of beautiful setups.
Cleanliness and hygiene are extremely important to me. After every session, all fabrics, wraps, outfits, props, and anything else that comes into direct contact with the baby are thoroughly washed and prepared for the next session.
Before your session, I will ask you to complete a short questionnaire and tell me about your preferences, including your favorite color palette. Preparing the studio for each session usually takes about an hour, so I prepare all of the setups in advance. This allows us to use our session time efficiently and focus completely on your baby.
You are also welcome to send me photos from my portfolio that you love the most. I will do my best to recreate your favorite setups as closely as possible, depending on the available props.
I always prepare a few more options than we will actually need for the session. When you arrive at the studio, you will be able to see everything I have prepared and choose the setups you love the most.
Within 5 business days after your session, I will send you a gallery of unedited photos. From this gallery, you will select the images you would like professionally retouched based on the number of photos included in your package.
You will also have the option to order additional retouched images or purchase the complete gallery of unedited photos.
Once you have made your selection and sent me the photo numbers, I will begin the retouching process. Your professionally retouched photos will be ready within 1 to 2 weeks after you submit your selection.
